# Enapter Water Tank Web GUI

# Getting Started

Enapter Water Tank Web GUI (Graphical User Interface) made for local control and monitoring using a web browser.

Note

Supported firmware versions of Water Tank 4.1:

  • WT 4.1 with firmware version 2.0.0 or later.

Warning

Enapter Water Tank Web GUI works over an insecure HTTP connection and was designed for usage in isolated Local Area Networks for Operation, Administration and Management. Please take into account that connection to public networks such as the Internet is not recommended for security reasons.


# Connections

Warning

If connected device do not have Auto MDI-X (auto crossover) use an Ethernet crossover cable to connect it to Enapter Water Tank 4.1.

Connect Water Tank using one of the methods described in Enapter Electrolyser Web GUI Documentation (opens new window).


# Physical Connection Specification

Parameter Description
Cable CAT5 or CAT6 Ethernet cable with RJ45 connectors. Max Distance: 100 meters / 328 ft.
Speed 10/100BASE-T. An Ethernet network transmitting at 10 and 100 Mbps.

# Access The Web GUI

  1. Find the label with UCM ID and PIN code on the back panel of Water Tank.
  2. Open the Web browser.
  3. It is two main ways to access the Web GUI.
  • Way 1. Use the UCM ID to create a link with .local hostname like http://UCM_ID.local.
    For example: http://02CCF660F6.local.

  • Way 2. Use the IP address of Water Tank.

Note

mDNS must be enabled to resolve .local hostname.
Use HTTP protocol.

Warning

It is known issue of using Wi-Fi under Windows with access (name resolution) to the .local hostname. In case you can not access the Web GUI this way please use a local ethernet connection to Water Tank or IP address as a hostname.

  1. In opened page enter UCM ID and PIN code.
  2. Click on the Login button to access the Web GUI.

# The Header Toolbar

WT41 Web GUI Header Toolbar

Parameter Description
Reboot Command to Reboot the device.
Locate on Command to enable or disable the Locate device functionality.
When enabled red, yellow and green LEDs are blinking.
Logout Command to Logout from Web GUI.

# Production Bar

WT41 Web GUI Production Bar

Parameter Description
Water Level Current water level in the tank. Related sensor is LT1. In litres.
Water Conductivity Conductivity of inlet water. Related sensor is CT1. In µS.

# Active Events Bar

WT41 Web GUI Active Events Bar

Parameter Description
Type Type of event.
Possible types of events:
1. Warning - Heads-up event which should be taken into account to avoid Error or Fatal Error.
2. Error - System Stopped. Recoverable error.
3. Fatal Error - System stopped. Unrecoverable error. Hardware repair required. Please contact Enapter support.
Code The code of all events for WT 4.1 can be found at Warning, Error and Fatal Error Codes (opens new window).

# Monitoring Sidebar

WT41 Web GUI Monitoring Sidebar

Parameter Description
Water Tank Status Overall operational state of the tank system.
Possible values:
1. OK - No active alerts. Normal operation.
2. WARNING - One or more warnings are active.
3. ERROR - One or more errors or fatal errors are active.
4. MAINTENANCE - The device is in maintenance mode.
5. STOP - Water Tank is stopped.
6. MANUAL - The device is in manual filling mode.
Water Quality Quality of inlet water. Related sensor is CT1.
Possible values:
1. Not checked - Water quality has not been evaluated yet.
2. Not acceptable - Water conductivity exceeds the acceptable limit.
3. Acceptable - Water quality meets the minimum requirement.
4. Good - Water quality is within the optimal range.
Water Level Current water level in the tank. Related sensor is LT1. In litres.
Tank Temperature Temperature of water inside the tank. Related sensor is TT1. In °C.

# Status Sidebar

WT41 Web GUI Status Sidebar

Parameter Description
Water Tank Status The main system state of Water Tank.
The description of all possible states can be found in Monitoring Sidebar.
Status LEDs Indications Three LED indicators reflecting the current hardware status. For more information please check Status LEDs Indications for WT 4.1 (opens new window).

# Start / Stop

Remote Start or Stop of Water Tank operation.


# Manual ON / OFF

Activates manual filling mode without opening the valve and performing water quality checks.


# Locate ON / OFF

Command to enable or disable the Locate device functionality.

When enabled red, yellow and green LEDs are blinking.


# Reset

Command to restart the Water Tank firmware. Press the Reboot button to confirm.

# Ethernet Settings

By default the DHCP is enabled.

If you want to change Ethernet Settings please follow these steps:

  • Tap on the Change button.
  • In the opened tab you can change the following ethernet settings:
    • IP Address
    • Netmask
    • Gateway IP
  • Tap on the Apply button to change Ethernet Settings.
  • Tap on the Cancel button to discard the changes.

# System Time Configuration

Warning

System's UTC date and time can't be changed when Water Tank is connected to Enapter Cloud.

Set system's UTC date & time.

If you want to change System Time Configuration please follow these steps:

  • Tap on the Change button.
  • In the opened tab you can change the following parameters:
    • System Date
    • System Time
  • Tap on the Apply button to change System Time Configuration.
  • Tap on the Cancel button to discard the changes.
  • Or you can synchronize System Date and System Time with your browser by clicking on the Sync with your browser time button.

WT41 Web GUI System Parameters

Parameter Description
Model Model of Water Tank. Must be WT41.
Firmware Version Current firmware version of Water Tank (Ex: 2.0.0-r1.release).
The Update button. Please check the Updating the Firmware Using Web GUI guide for more information.
Product Code Product code (Ex: WTM41A5).
UCM Version Current firmware version of the UCM (Ex: 1.8.0-rc.12.88300).
Ethernet MAC Address Ethernet MAC address unique ID (Ex: 00:80:E1:4F:92:76).
Wi-Fi MAC Address Wi-Fi MAC address unique ID (Ex: C8:2B:96:A8:F5:2C).
UCM ID UCM's unique ID (Ex: 02CCF660F6042FB1447E5B020E6744FCC325A5F9).

# Updating the Firmware Using Web GUI

How to Get Firmware Package

If you are unable to update firmware using Enapter Cloud or Enapter Mobile Application, write to support@enapter.com and get files for offline update.

Never Upload Firmware Files Received From an Untrusted Source

Enapter is not responsible for any misbehavior or harm caused by untrusted firmware usage or violating update instructions.

It is always recommended to update the firmware using Enapter Cloud or Enapter Mobile Application. However, in cases when it is not possible to have your device connected to Enapter Cloud, it is possible to update the firmware using Web GUI.

Warning

Do not power off the device during the firmware update.

Warning

Remove Dryer Control Network (opens new window) before updating the firmware.

  1. Make sure you have physical access to the device before starting the update process.
  2. Remove Dryer Control Network (opens new window) before updating the firmware.
  3. Save and unzip the received firmware package to a local hard drive of your computer so that you have two files named fw_ucm_WT41_X.X.X.ena and fw_cbd_WT41_X.X.X.ena next to each other.
  4. Open Web GUI of your Water Tank.
  5. Navigate to System Parameters tab.
  6. Click Update link. The Upload Firmware screen will appear.
  7. Drag and drop or select the file with UCM firmware named fw_ucm_WT41_X.X.X.ena from your local hard drive.
  8. On the screen you will see the confirmation that the firmware file is recognized by showing the UCM Firmware version.
  9. Press Upload button and wait for the process to finish both the Upload and Installation steps. It will take up to 10 minutes. Don't turn the Water Tank off and don't close the browser.
  10. Press Done after receiving the message UCM firmware was updated successfully.
  11. Drag and drop or select the file with Control Board firmware named fw_cbd_WT41_X.X.X.ena.
  12. On the screen you will see the confirmation that the firmware file is recognized by showing the Control Board Firmware version.
  13. Press Upload button and wait for the process to finish both the Upload and Installation steps. It will take up to 10 minutes. Don't turn the Water Tank off and don't close the browser.
  14. Press Done after receiving the message Control Board was updated successfully.
